Light Reading Europe - Broadband - BT Goes With Huawei for FTTH - Telecom News Analysis

Openreach si configura come un operatore di trasporto, modello credo molto simile a quello che si sta preparando in Italia.

Openreach is building a fiber access network using GPON equipment from Huawei, which is already an access and optical equipment supplier for BT's £10 billion (US$19.6 billion) 21CN next-generation network project. Once built, Openreach plans to offer a wholesale access product, called Generic Access Ethernet (GAE, totally), to the U.K.'s service providers (including BT's retail business), comprising 10 Mbit/s downstream and 2 Mbit/s upstream. Riassumendo: non solo non è possibile fotografare le moderne opere architettoniche pubbliche, non è nemmeno possibile fotografare quadri e sculture di qualsiasi epoca presenti nel territorio italiano.

In una società sempre più pervasa dalla tecnologia e dall'immediatezza di comunicazione, dove la maggioranza delle informazioni viene acquisita online, l'Italia si chiude dietro a leggi burocratiche e farraginose che stanno facendo scomparire tutta la sua arte dal Web: coi danni che questo comporterà nel breve ma soprattutto nel lungo termine.
